How to Care for Wire-Wrapped Jewelry

Wire and freshwater pearls age well when you treat them gently. Dry storage, avoiding moisture, and keeping pieces away from perfume extend the life of hand-wrapped jewelry for years.

Wire-wrapped jewelry — care and maintenance guide

Wire wants dry handling and gentle shaping. Pearls want occasional wiping, not soaking in product. Your piece is built from both — treat each material on its terms and it will settle into your routine instead of fighting it.

Daily habits

Put jewelry on after perfume, hairspray and lotion, never before. Remove pieces before sleeping, swimming or showering. Store flat in the pouch or box provided when you travel — a piece left loose in a bag can bend out of shape.

When wire meets moisture

Wipe with a barely damp cloth if needed; never soak a piece. Air-dry away from direct heat before storing. Prolonged moisture is not a friend to wire or pearls — if you are caught in the rain, dry and store your piece as soon as you can.

Reshaping, if it ever happens

Gentle wire can shift slightly out of shape with wear — that is normal, not a defect. If a curve looks off, write to us before adjusting it yourself; we would rather answer twice than see a piece bent the wrong way trying to fix it at home.
